About Govt Exam Check
Every year a large number of candidates decide they are "too old" or "not qualified" for a government exam and stop applying — often incorrectly, because the rules sit across several paragraphs of a 70-page PDF and almost nobody adds them up correctly. This site exists to do that arithmetic for you, for free.
What makes us different
- We tell you whether YOU can apply, not merely that a form exists. Other sites list notifications; we check them against your date of birth, category and qualification.
- Age is calculated on each exam's own cutoff date, not on today's date. This is the single most common source of wrong answers elsewhere.
- Relaxations are stacked correctly. Disability relaxation is added on top of your social-category relaxation, so an OBC-NCL candidate with a disability is eligible to 43 on a 30-year post, not 40. Many sites get this wrong by several years.
- Every answer shows its reasoning and the line from the official notification it came from, so you can verify it yourself.
How we compile the data
Notifications are collected from official government websites, stored in full, and read to extract the eligibility rules. Those rules are then checked by a person against the original PDF before being marked verified. Anything not yet verified is clearly labelled as such rather than presented as certain.
We also keep a copy of every notification we process, so information remains available to you even when the official website is unreachable.
What we are not
Govt Exam Check is an independent private website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Staff Selection Commission, UPSC, IBPS, the Railway Recruitment Boards, any State Public Service Commission or any government body. We never collect application fees and we never submit forms on anyone's behalf. All applications must be made on the official government portal.
How it stays free
Advertising pays for it. There is no account, no OTP and no paid tier, because charging for eligibility information would mean somebody misses a form over ₹99 — which defeats the purpose of building this. Updates are posted free on our WhatsApp channel.
