The age limit for IBPS PO 2026 is 20 to 30 years as on 01 Aug 2026. Your age is counted on that cutoff date, not on the day you apply — so a candidate who turns 31 after the cutoff date is still eligible.

Who should apply for IBPS PO
Right for candidates who are fast and accurate rather than deep, are comfortable with customer-facing work and sales targets, and have no commitment tying them to one city. If location stability matters more than early salary, SSC CGL is the better choice.
- Sectional timing in Prelims means you cannot carry unused time between sections — speed matters more than in SSC.
- Computer literacy is required, and proficiency in the official language of the state you apply for is usually expected.
- Final year students cannot apply; the degree must be complete on the application date.
