The short version
You do not need to give us your name, phone number, email address or any document to use this website, and there is no account to create. The eligibility checker runs entirely inside your own browser — the date of birth, category and qualification you enter are never transmitted to us and never stored on our servers. The only things we store are what you choose to send us: a question posted under an exam, or a message through the contact page.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Eligibility inputs (DOB, category, qualification, gender) | To calculate which exams you can apply for | Nowhere. Processed in your browser only |
| Language preference | To remember English or Hindi | Your browser's local storage |
| Standard server logs (IP, browser, page) | Security and abuse prevention | Our hosting provider, retained ~30 days |
| A question you post under an exam (the name you type and your question) | To answer it publicly, so the next reader with the same question finds the answer | Our database. Published only after a person reads it; anything carrying a phone number, email or roll number is not published |
| A message sent through the contact page (your message, and a reply address only if you give one) | To reply to you | Our database, read only by the site's operator |
| A one-way hash of your IP address, stored with a question or message | To stop one sender flooding the queue | Our database. It cannot be turned back into your IP address |
| Words typed into the site search | To learn what readers look for and do not find | Our database, with no IP, cookie or identifier, and the time rounded to the hour |
| Anonymous page analytics | To see which pages are useful | Aggregated only; no cross-site tracking |
Advertising and cookies
This website is free and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.
- Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this website.
We do not share the details you type into the eligibility checker with advertisers, because we never receive them in the first place.
Children and school students
Most of this site is for adults applying for government recruitment, but the scholarship pages (NMMS, for example) are read by school students and their parents. Nothing on the site requires personal information, and the eligibility checker sends nothing anywhere. We ask students under 18 not to post questions or send messages themselves — a parent or teacher can do it for them — and we delete anything we learn was sent by a child.
Your choices
There is no account and no profile, so for most visitors there is nothing on our side to delete. If you posted a question or sent a message and want it removed, ask through the contact page with the page and the name you used, and we will delete it. Clearing your browser storage removes your saved language preference.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
