APSC Combined Competitive age limit and relaxation 2026

The age limit for APSC Combined Competitive 2026 is 21 to 38 years as on 01 Jan 2027. That ceiling is the reason to take this exam seriously. Who should apply for APSC Combined Competitive

For Assam graduates, who should check their community against the state's own OBC and MOBC lists before filling anything in. Language is the real barrier for candidates from outside the north-east, and correspondingly the local advantage.

Things candidates miss about APSC Combined Competitive
  • OBC and MOBC are separate lists with separate quotas.
  • The answering medium follows the region the post belongs to.
  • Most of APSC's annual hiring sits outside the combined examination.

APSC Combined Competitive 2026 — frequently asked questions

What is MOBC and does it apply to me?
More Other Backward Classes — a category Assam lists and reserves for separately from OBC, with its own communities and quota. Check your community against the state's list, because central forms recognise only OBC and the habit carries over.
Which language will I write the APSC mains in?
It depends on where the post sits — Assamese, Bengali in the Barak valley districts, or Bodo in the Bodoland Territorial Region. The state administers in all three rather than pretending to one.
Does APSC advertise beyond the Combined Competitive Examination?
Yes, and heavily — departmental, technical and teaching recruitment runs on separate calendars and never appears in the CCE notification.

What APSC Combined Competitive is actually like

A five-minute check against the state's own community list decides which quota a candidate competes under for the whole cycle. It is the cheapest marks available in Assam recruitment.
